Lu joined Heyl Royster as a summer associate in 2019. She joined the firm full time in the fall of 2020. Lu started the practice of law in China in 2009 in both civil and criminal law. She handled business and commercial transactions and litigation, casualty/tort litigation, real estate litigation, trust and probate, and other claims ranging in value from $15 to $75 million dollars. Lu also handled appeals in civil cases, represented clients in Xi’an Intermediate Court and Shaanxi Supreme Court. Lu graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2020 with a rank of 2nd in her class. While at Northern, she was on the board of the Law Review and involved in the International Law Society. Lu served as a table counsel for the College of Law in the 2020 Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. In the Fall of 2019, she participated in the Zeke Giorgi Legal Civil Justice Clinic. Lu studied French Civil Law and European Union Law at University of Bordeaux, Agen, France during the summer of 2018 and is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Publications
