Alisha began her career focusing on business transactions and becoming an accomplished medical malpractice defense attorney. More recently, Alisha clerked for a well-respected federal judge with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois, focusing on civil and criminal cases. This unique experience has expanded Alisha’s understanding of the law and the ability to manage complex cases. Alisha rejoined Heyl Royster in early 2022, dedicating her experience and passion to defending hospitals, physicians, physician groups, and long term care facilities throughout Illinois. 

Relationships are key in the practice of law. For more than 6 years, Alisha has worked in the Metro East, Southern Illinois, and Central Illinois regions, which gives Alisha a broad perspective of federal and state court system and their respective communities. Alisha graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law where she received numerous honors, educational awards, and graduated in the top of her class.

In her spare time, Alisha loves to spend time with her family, eating at new restaurants, and traveling.
