Ivan Settimba (Associate)

Ivan has extensive experience in all stages of litigation, including depositions, discovery responses, drafting motions, and preparing witnesses. He has represented product manufacturers, petrochemical companies, and pharmaceutical companies and served as National Counsel for a Fortune 500 company, taking responsibility for identifying defense strategies and monitoring local counsel. As an associate working out of the firm's Chicago office, Ivan will practice in several areas of litigation, including Civil Rights Litigation/Section 1983, Casualty/Tort Litigation, Employment & Labor, Product Liability, Toxic Torts & Asbestos, and Workers' Compensation.

Before joining Heyl Royster, Ivan was an associate attorney at several distinguished Chicago law firms. He served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Virginia M. Kendall of the Northern District of Illinois and the Honorable Nathaniel R. Howse, Jr. of the Illinois Appellate Court, First District.

Ivan received his J.D. at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, earning dean's list honors and certificates in both Trial Advocacy and Health Law. He was extensively involved in Loyola's nationally renowned Moot Court Program, where he served on the Honors Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Executive Board as Publicity Director. He currently serves on the Alumni Board of Governors for Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
