Heyl Royster Attorneys Serve as Faculty at IICLE Workers’ Compensation Institute

Several firm attorneys have been asked to serve as faculty for a series of “Workers’ Compensation Institute” programs presented by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education (IICLE). At the first Institute program held on February 3rd and 4th, Brad Antonacci (Rockford) spoke on vocational rehabilitation from the respondent’s perspective. Under the Workers’ Compensation Act, “vocational rehabilitation” is a benefit in which an injured worker is provided rehabilitative services, such as training and job-seeking assistance if the injured worker is unable to resume his regular work duties. The presentation, which was prepared with the assistance of Kelly Cordes (Rockford), covered issues such as whether the injured worker is entitled to vocational rehabilitation and the consequences of the injured worker’s failure to comply with vocational rehabilitation.

Dan Simmons (Springfield) will be offering this vocational rehabilitation presentation at the IICLE Workers’ Compensation Institute program that will be held on February 25th and 26th in Champaign at the Hilton Garden Inn. Click here to register.
