Ingram Speaks on Opioid Litigation at Insurance Bermuda Triangle Event


Insurance industry professionals and speakers from Europe, Bermuda, and North America gathered in Bermuda on July 12 to discuss emerging trends and issues in the insurance industry at the Insurance Bermuda Triangle Event, a program held in conjunction with the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) Annual Meeting. At the event, Brad Ingram participated in a panel discussion on “The Narcotics Problem: Opioid Litigation and its Impact on Manufacturers, Distributors, Employers, and Stakeholders.” Occupational Medicine physician Dr. David Randolph, M.D., Ph.D., talked about the prevalence of the over-prescription of narcotics, and the panel focused on the effects that opioid abuse have had on insurance claims, workers’ compensation claims, and overall healthcare costs.

This annual conference is attended by executive officers, in-house counsel, local counsel and board directors of various insurance and re-insurance concerns.
