Hefflefinger Leads Large Verdict Panel Discussion at ABA Transportation Megaconference


Matt Hefflefinger, chair of the firm’s Trucking Practice, organized and moderated “Large Verdicts – Is Hindsight 20/20?” for the American Bar Association’s Transportation Megaconference XIII: Trucking and Motor Carrier Litigation. The Megaconference took place March 8-10 in New Orleans and was hosted by the ABA Commercial Transportation Litigation Committee. Hefflefinger’s panel discussion examined large verdicts from around the country, and analyzed common themes, lessons learned, plaintiff-friendly jurisdictions, and early case evaluation warning signs. The panel speakers were Eric Nau, Corporate Counsel, New Prime Inc.; April Sexton, Claims Manager, USA Truck, Inc.; Mike Coffey, Esq., Wood Smith Henning & Berman; and James Young, Senior Claims Adjustor, Carolina Casualty.
