Cold Weather/Hot Legislation: Governmental Practice Holds Holiday Seminars
12/14/2017
In early December, the firm’s Governmental Practice held seminars in three locations that focused on recent Illinois case law affecting the public sector, cyberliability for governmental entities, and Illinois legislative updates. The seminars were held in Peoria on December 6, Champaign on December 12, and Rockford on December 14. The speakers included John Redlingshafer, Andy Keyt, Mark McClenathan, Emily Perkins, Anne Mergen, Jordan Emmert, and Andrew Wilt. Much of the discussion centered around a recent Illinois Supreme Court decision relating to governmental immunity for riding paths, and legislation affecting FOIA requests, sexual harassment policies, and township consolidation and fund limits.
