Luther Speaks on Workers’ Compensation and Anti-Harassment Issues

On May 9, Kevin Luther presented Workers’ Compensation case law update to the Winnebago County Bar Association. Luther’s presentation covered recent developments and some of the finer points of Illinois case law relating to Workers’ Compensation, including issues related to the traveling employee, “arising out of” risk analysis, and concepts related to causation and pre-existing conditions.

On April 2, Luther provided anti-violence and anti-harassment training to faculty, staff, and administration of Keith Country Day School, a premier college-preparatory school (pre-K through grade 12) in northern Illinois. Luther’s presentation focused on Illinois’ anti-bullying laws and regulations.

On March 22, Luther gave a presentation entitled “Workers’ Compensation Issues and Handling for Management” for supervisors at a transportation subsidiary of one of the nation's largest food redistributors. His presentation included examples of the types of benefits that can be anticipated in Workers’ Compensation claims, and guidelines for conducting an accident investigation.
