Ashenhurst Speaks at ICAHN/Hometown Health University Human Resources Conference


On August 29, Tony Ashenhurst participated in the Fall 2018 Human Resources Virtual Conference sponsored by the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN) and Hometown Health University. Ashenhurst presented “The Impact of Workplace Harassment on Hospitals,” which focused on not only the emotional and physical impacts of workplace harassment on staff, but also its effect on advancement and career opportunities. In addition, Ashenhurst discussed the value of in-house training, emphasizing the EEOC’s preference for live interactive training.

Ashenhurst is a member of the firm’s Healthcare Law and Employment & Labor Practices. He has practiced in the areas of employment and labor law for more than thirty years. Prior to joining Heyl Royster, Tony served as Assistant General Counsel in UnityPoint Health’s Law Department, where he provided advice on healthcare regulatory compliance and other corporate legal issues for UnityPoint Health’s Illinois affiliates.
