Heyl Royster Attorneys Speak to the American Trucking Associations

Garner Berry, Nate Henderson, and Matt Hefflefinger conducted a national webinar for the American Trucking Associations (ATA) on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. The webinar addressed the use of Driver Handbooks, CDL Manuals, and Driver Training Resources at deposition and at trial by plaintiff's counsel, with the focus on attempting to elevate the standard of care applicable to truck drivers. One of the matters that was discussed during the webinar was the American Transportation Research Institute’s (ATRI) June 2020 analysis of the rise of nuclear verdicts in the trucking industry. The webinar was attended by representatives of motor carriers across the United States.
