Hall Speaks at DRI Trucking Seminar

DRI held the 2022 DRI Trucking Law Seminar in Austin, Texas, on April 27-29, focusing on how the trucking industry is becoming smarter, faster, and better. Presentations included discussions of trucking technology's current and future landscape from insiders at the forefront of these developments. Heyl Royster's Larry Hall joined a panel discussion entitled "The Price is Wrong: How to Identify and Fight Medical Overbilling." Medical overbilling is driving verdicts and settlements higher and turning run-of-the-mill wrecks into bigger windfalls. This group discussed how to take control of the gamesmanship by treating physicians, medical funding companies, and plaintiffs' attorneys to ensure the price is right when it comes time for mediation or trial.

Larry Hall devotes his legal practice to representing local, regional, and national carriers throughout the litigation process. Larry works with trucking clients in all aspects of their business, including immediate response investigations, safety policies/training, regulatory compliance, and general risk management. His knowledge and dedication to the transportation industry have earned Larry the trust of his clients such that he is called upon to serve as lead counsel in high-exposure and difficult losses. He has successfully tried cases to verdict and reached negotiated outcomes in what are widely considered some of the most challenging defense venues in the country. Larry's practice also includes defending high exposure and catastrophic product liability cases involving various products, including trailers, heavy machinery, electrical components, and consumer goods. He has significant experience with a wide range of fire science and premises liability matters.
