Attorneys Speak to Government Officials, Officers and Engineers


Peoria attorney John Redlingshafer recently spoke at two conferences for county officials. On April 30, he presented on “Practical Issues under Illinois’ Freedom of Information Act” to the Illinois Association of County Clerks and Recorders as part of the spring meeting of the Illinois Association of County Officials in Springfield. On May 9, John presented to the Illinois Association of County Engineers in Effingham on legal issues related to rights of way, and how units of government should handle disputes over ownership interests. 

John also presented a program with partner Tim Bertschy on the Prevailing Wage Act to the American Public Works Association on Friday, May 3, 2012. Tim and John discussed the application of the Act, common problems, and potential legislative changes. Tim and John both speak frequently on prevailing wage issues to local, state, and national organizations.

On April 18, partner Deb Stegall made a presentation on the Family Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act and the interplay between them to the Illinois Board of Sheriffs Merit Commissions.
