Heyl Royster Attorneys Author Articles for IDC Quarterly


Eight Heyl Royster attorneys were featured in the current issue of IDC Quarterly, a publication of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel.

Craig Unrath authored the "Amicus Committee Update," which discusses a number of recent Illinois Supreme Court cases where the IDC has offered amicus support. John Heil wrote the "Civil Rights Update" discussing a recent Seventh Circuit opinion concerning properly raising immunities as a defense. Joe Feehan and Brad Keller authored the "Evidence and Practice Tips" on a recent appellate court decision interpreting Illinois Rule of Evidence 408 relating to offers of compromise and statements made within compromise negotiations. Roger Clayton, Mark Hansen, and Matt Thompson authored the Health Law column, discussing a recent Appellate Court, Fifth District case concerning the discoverability of credentialing data and whether such information is privileged. Brad Peterson authored the Workers' Compensation report, discussing the recent developments in the "arising out of" case law in Illinois workers' compensation law.

In addition, Stacy Crabtree has been appointed by the IDC's Board of Directors to author the "Recent Decisions" column. Her coverage of the column will begins with Volume 25, No. 1, which will be published this winter.
