Brady Featured in Emerging Lawyers Magazine

Jana Brady was recently featured in the inaugural issue of Emerging Lawyers magazine in a profile entitled “Conquering on Trails and in Fields of Law.” The article mentions Brady’s “stellar track record of trial success in defending doctors and nurses against claims of civil rights violations,” as well as her competitive spirit honed from “countless sprint marathons, Olympic triathlons and half marathons.” The article begins with the sentence, “Somehow, walking into a courtroom for a hearing isn’t quite as intimidating after you’ve run 30 miles.”

The article goes on to talk about how Brady has used competitive running and biking as a confidence-builder, and characterizes her as a “responsive and effective” straight-shooter. A sentiment echoed by Kathleen Cammack, senior claims adjuster for Alternative Service Concepts, who said, “I never have to go to her to know what’s going on.” Cammack praised Brady for always “…telling us what happened [in court] and what our plan of action is.”

In the article, Brady said she finds defending clients in civil rights/Section 1983 litigation in federal court particularly gratifying. “I feel that when I defend my clients, I’m helping further justice.”
