Firm’s United Way Project Helps Neighborhood House

On November 5th, a group of attorneys, paralegals and support staff painted the day care facility at Neighborhood House in Peoria as part of Heyl Royster's United Way annual service project. This year, the firm’s Peoria office has adopted Neighborhood House as its United Way partner agency. In addition to painting, the firm has collected kids' coats for the annual coat drive, and Jim Manning, Andy Keyt, Emily Perkins and Dana Hughes are volunteering in the center's afterschool tutoring program.

Peoria’s Neighborhood House serves over 1,100 people per day through its Meals on Wheels program, Child Care, and after-school programs. It serves more than 6,200 people a year through other diverse services. The mission of Neighborhood House is to alleviate poverty at its root, through an array of programs that provide critical short-term relief to diverse communities, while facilitating long term recovery.
