Women’s Fund Honors Hughes with Emerging Leader Award


Dana Hughes was selected as the winner of the Community Foundation of Central Illinois’ Women’s Fund’s 2017 Women to Women Emerging Leader Award. The Emerging Leader Award honors a woman between the ages of 25-40 who is a role model and who demonstrates excellence and initiative in her chosen profession and service to the community. Dana was recognized for her work defending worker’s compensation claims, for the articles and publications she has authored, and for her community service. Dana is an active volunteer for the Neighborhood House mentoring/tutoring program, Women’s Build for Habitat for Humanity, and the St. Jude Washington Peoria fundraising run. She was recognized as a role model and mentor for associate attorneys as well as for her participation in the Heyl Royster Women’s Forum and Attorney Skills Program.
